Most striking about this country are its people. Many (most?) live in poverty and unhealthy, unsanitary conditions, and yet they are some of the most warm-hearted people I've ever met. The saying, "The less you have to lose, the more you have to give" comes immediately to mind.

Etwas ganz Besonderes habe ich mit den Menschen in Kambodscha erlebt. Auch wenn das Leben in Armut und meistens in hygienisch schlechten Verhältnissen stattfindet, diese Menschen sind wirklich Herz ergreifend. Es scheint so, dass der Spruch "je weniger man zu verlieren hat, desto mehr gibt man" genau auf ihre Einstellung passt.
